IHCD Instructional Methods and Qualifying Training

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust are approved to run Ambulance Tuition course’s – IHCD Instructional Methods and Instructional Qualifying courses. Each course will be a two week residential course.


Eligibility Criteria

Individuals wishing to undertake the Edexel Tutor Development programme must hold an appropriate vocational/professional qualification in the area they intend teaching. The Edexel course would be tailored to the specific level of the candidates professional qualification.


AMBULANCE TUTOR TRAINING FRAMEWORK

Candidates must successfully complete the following programme :

  • Pre - Instructional methods course experience (optional)
  • Instructional methods course - 2 weeks
  • Secondment to an IHCD accredited training Centre - 6 weeks
  • Tutor qualifying course - 2 weeks
  • Post-Tutor qualifying attachment at an IHCD accredited training Centre - 4 weeks
