Student Paramedic Conference 2018

It’s back – following the success of the 2017 event, our Be a Better Paramedic Student Conference returns! Join us for a fantastic day of engaging, challenging and interesting CPD. We have assembled an expert team that will guide you through hands-on master classes on the following subjects:

  • Medical Mystery Tour  – an intriguing multi-media scenario on the main stage with numerous stop-offs - you will apply your differential diagnosis skills to work out the destination and unpick this medical mystery.
  • Minor Head Injury - Major Headache – Based on real incidents, learn about the pitfalls and tools that will help you recognise the warning signs and avoid a headache!
  • Virtually Frail – See frailty from a unique perspective, to understand the condition and associated risks and safeguard our most frequent patients.
  • Traumatic Brain Injury – Specialist Paramedic (Critical Care)  teams will take you through the A&P and procedures for TBI, with a real-time demo and interactive lecture.

We know the journey from student to registered paramedic can be a challenging one. The ‘Be a Better Paramedic’ Student Conference is hosted by South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

BOOK NOW! Only £20

why are we charging £20 for tickets? Primarily, and most importantly, it is to support providing the highest standard of experience possible for you, without compromising accessibility. This will enable us to focus on ensuring that the quality of the catering and delegate packs that you receive is better. Additionally, at the 2016 and 2017 events, attendees were about 35% less than expected. There were many who signed up to come but decided not to attend, which meant that many others who wanted to come were denied a place. It is hoped that using a dedicated booking system and this nominal fee, we can ensure 100% attendance.

Book your tickets here.
