Become a Paramedic - Taster Day 2020

Back by popular demand!

Following the huge success of our previous Become a Paramedic Taster Days, South Western Ambulance Service is back in 2020, hosting another action packed, interactive day for A-level and Further Education college students.

This fun-filled and exciting day gives you the chance to:

 • Learn from an experts to sharpen up your CV and send high quality applications to Universities

• Watch a live demo by our Hazardous Area Response Team paramedics

• Learn how to do CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) and get a certificate

• Check out our state-of-the-art emergency vehicles and equipment

• Get 'hands-on' at our clinical skill stations and learn about haemorrage control

• Meet specialists including the Air Ambulance team

• Get the lowdown on what its really like working for the South Western Ambulance Service - talk to paramedics and other frontline/clinical staff

• Find out all about University degrees, apprenticeships and volunteering.

All for just £25. If you wish, you can bring along one adult to accompany you at no extra cost.
