Restart a Heart 2019
What is Restart a Heart?
Restart a Heart is a designated yearly day of action with the aim to teach vital life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to as many people as possible. This year, Restart a Heart is going global! For the first time, it will be called World Restart a Heart. We aim to attend secondary schools across our divisional areas to provide CPR training.
When does it take place?
The official day of restart a heart is Wednesday 16th October 2019. We are allowing 2 weeks grace a week either side of this day for flexibility.
When is the closing date?
We would like the forms which have been sent to you to be completed and returned to us by the end of April. Also for your school to have applications for the kit completed through British Heart Foundation website https://www.bhf.org.uk/how-you-can-help/how-to-save-a-life/cpr-kits/cpr-training-for-schools/cpr-training-for-schools-form
What is involved?
We will contact volunteers in your area to attend to promote the Importance of CPR, how to do CPR, Outline the chain of survival and how to call for help. We will ask for a site visit, the purpose of the site visit is for the volunteer to introduce themselves and also to ensure that the room and facilities are adequate for the delivery of the training.
What is included in the kit?
