Welcome to the Patient and Public Engagement Page. Each year the team attends more than 300 events, exhibitions and focus groups promoting the South West Ambulance Service Foundation Trust (SWASFT) and working with patients and communities to help improve our services and relationships across the South West. Our aim is to engage with as many people as possible, patients and members of the public alike.

The role of the Patient Engagement team is not only to help facilitate our coming events, but to also gather feedback from the public and feed it back to the Trust, ensuring that the public and patients are able to make positive changes to the service that we provide. Though we analyse all aspects of the patient experience, this year we have focused on our quality priorities of older patient care and experience service, as well as a smaller project on safeguarding and mental health.

These events can also provide an opportunity to off health information and advice as well as tours around your local ambulances and vehicles. You can also meet your local ambulance crew who can provide the chance to have blood pressure checks in support of preventing strokes and the importance of Knowing Your Blood Pressure.

For more information about future events we are planning to attend, please see out Public Event Calendar.
