SWASFT staff getting involved

Patient and Public Engagement 7 Patient and Public Engagement 8 Patient and Public Engagement 9

As an engagement team we are always looking for volunteers to support public and patient engagements throughout the Trust, including local and tri-service shows, open days and focus groups. We are aware that many members of staff are interested in engaging with the wider public on topics that matter to them and we’re happy to facilitate that opportunity.

The engagement function relies solely on volunteers to carry out Trust requirement to engage with the public and patients. Our intention is to build a robust volunteer list to enable us to accommodate the number of requests that come through. Please be aware this is a voluntary role, we are not able to pay or offer flexi working times for these events. As an incentive those who attend five events will be offered a certificate which can be used in their portfolio.

We have a system in place where we will send every volunteer a list of event requests weekly. This email will include events across the trust that need volunteers to attend, this will range from school, community and hard to reach group visits.

We have a fleet of public relation vehicles based in Taunton. These vehicles will be available to you to use for these events.

If you are interested in furthering your skills and engagement then please complete the following form EVENT VOLUNTEER FORM
