How do I get involved?

Due to the large geography of SWASFT the network will initially run be run and managed through a Facebook group in which members of staff share ideas, advertise events and access information.

The network can be contacted via the confidential email address lgbt@swast.nhs.uk. A distribution list will be maintained to keep you informed of activities. You can also visit the National Ambulance LGBT network website here.

What we aim to do

  • Share an understanding of the experiences of LGBT staff and patients
  • To celebrate difference and diversity through internal communications and involvement in key regional PRIDE events across all sectors of SWASFT
  • To provide support and signposting mechanisms for staff
  • To support the public message in LGBT communities and help identify service delivery issues for the community
