Mark Bradford

Public, Devon
Champion of Person-Centered Care
With over two decades of frontline and strategic leadership experience in health and social care, Mark brings a rare blend of clinical insight, operational expertise, and unwavering dedication to improving lives. His career spans NHS services, social care, domiciliary care, extra care schemes, and learning disability support-always with a focus on safety, quality, and compassion.
Mark's journey began on the front lines, and his commitment to care has only deepened through roles as a Clinician, Senior Quality and Operational Directorships, and Nominated Individual roles to the Care Quality Commission. He has led initiatives across Foundation Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups, and large corporate/not for profit care providers, driving cultural transformation and embedding excellence in care delivery.
A proud moment in his career was being elected by peers as the first A&E Governor in the Council's inaugural session-a role that allowed him to give back to the ambulance service that shaped his early professional life. As Clinical Lead Paramedic for the Right Care, Right Place, Right Time initiative, Mark worked closely with partners to improve patient outcomes and ensure care is delivered where and when it's needed most.
At the heart of Mark's leadership is a belief that care is about people-those we serve, those we work alongside, and those we collaborate with externally. He's a passionate advocate for transparency, open communication, and person-centered practice, ensuring every decision reflects the needs and dignity of individuals.
