An Exeter father has been reunited with the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) crew who helped save his life after he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.

A man has been sentenced at Bristol Crown Court after attacking ambulance staff with a claw hammer while they were responding to an emergency call.

Due to the red extreme heat weather warning and the red heat-health alert issued today, South Western Ambulance Service is urging residents and visitors across the South West to protect themselves during the current hot weather and use NHS services appropriately.
