If you are a journalist with a media enquiry, please email publicrelations@swast.nhs.uk, and we will respond to you within working hours (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm).

Please note our service responds to around 2,650 emergency incidents a day.

Although every patient is important to us, we focus on providing information to the public about very serious incidents they may need to be aware of. This means we don't usually provide details about less serious incidents, nor general sightings of our ambulances and air ambulances. We cannot provide details about patients we attend at private addresses, confirm deaths, nor provide condition updates on patients no longer in our care. 

We do consider other media enquiries, as well as interview and filming requests.

Out-of-hours

Please only contact us out-of-hours about major ongoing incidents (as determined by high number of patients, high number of resources or significant local disruption, such as a motorway closure). 

For urgent out-of-hours media enquiries, please call 0300 369 0021. Please note that if you contact this number about incidents that are not major ongoing incidents, you will not get a response.
