I bring 22 years of NHS experience, a strong understanding of health and care systems, and a deep commitment to supporting high-quality services in Somerset.
I have lived and worked in the area for many years and care deeply about the people and communities here. My work with SWASFT on their Foundation Trust application and the setup of NHS 111 in Somerset gave me first-hand insight into the importance of safe, effective emergency and urgent care.
Recently retired from a senior governance role, I have experience in service delivery, performance oversight, policy implementation, and significant change management. I understand how the system works, how to ask the right questions, and how to represent public views to those making decisions.
As a Governor, I aim to bring calm, practical judgement, local knowledge, and a clear focus on what matters most-ensuring ambulance services remain safe, fair, and responsive to the people they serve.
