The first theory exam you have to pass will be scheduled for the morning of day 4 of your course. There is a lot of other information, facts and practical elements to absorb in those first 3 days so getting a head start on the information required prior to starting your driving course will be a real advantage.

The first exam is on Traffic Signs, Signals and Road Markings . They are all contained at the back of the current edition of the highway code. Unlike the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) theory tests, you need to have learnt the correct definitions of the traffic signs, signals and road markings as the questions are worded with plausible distractors making guessing the correct answer difficult. All the exams are online, multiple choice but difficult to guess if you don't have the correct underpinning knowledge. WARNING - Be wary of some online revision apps as they may not use the exact correct definitions.
