Resuscitation Feedback Project — ZOLL CaseReview

 

What is the Resuscitation Feedback Project?

• The Trust’s ZOLL X-Series defibrillators collect CPR Quality data using an accelerometer contained within the puck attached to the defibrillator pads.
• The ZOLL X Series can then transfer the CPR data using the Auto Case Push function from the device into the ZOLL CaseReview system.
• A CPR Performance Summary is generated using CaseReview, enabling clinicians to review the resuscitation quality data - compression depth , rate, CPR pauses and release velocity.
• Once requested, the CPR performance summary will then be sent via email to everyone who attended the incident.

 

How do I take part?

1. After attending a patient in cardiac arrest, on the main screen of the Zoll, press the Quick Access Key two times 
2. Press the Case Push Quick Access Key 
3. Confirm by selecting “Continue” – this will automatically close the current case and upload the CPR data
4. A window will open while the data is uploaded. This will close and the Zoll will power off automatically when the data is uploaded
5. Once you have completed the above steps, email resuscitation@swast.nhs.uk with either your call sign or the incident number
6. The CPR performance summary will then be sent via email to everyone who attended the incident

An opportunity to discuss the case will be offered either as a private one to one session or as a group. These sessions are voluntary but are an opportunity to discuss your CPR performance data, what went well, any challenges you faced, and identify any opportunities for learning.
